About the Role

As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Manufacturing Facility in Austin, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior workspaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while supporting a professional and welcoming environment.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
