About the Role
The Story with Martha MacCallum is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and creative Associate Producer to research segments and produce elements like video montages and graphics. The ideal candidate will have a strong awareness of current events and storytelling, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Creatively conceive and select elements such as sound, video clips, and graphics to help tell a story
- Gather and organize material from various sources with varying degrees of complexity
- Build well-sourced, in-depth research packets
- Pitch thought-provoking and out-of-the-box segments
Requirements
- Prior television (or similar) experience
- Knowledge of current events, politics and pop culture
- Ability to work collaboratively with others under intense deadline pressure
- Ability to work independently and make smart decisions on your own
- Ability to understand and implement ideas described by others
- Willingness to listen, learn and grow from constructive criticism
Education Level
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
Salary/Compensations
- $67,000.00-75,000.00 annually
