About the Role
As the HS&E Advisor, you will lead the application of professional Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) practices at assigned work or project sites. You will provide expert advice and recommendations on health and safety matters to operations teams and clients, while also guiding and supporting HS&E personnel. Your strong understanding of safety management systems, legislation, and industry standards will enable you to confidently apply this knowledge across various work environments with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Develop and conduct hazard assessments to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors.
- Perform focus audits of HSE plan requirements, reporting findings and verifying corrective actions.
- Provide on-site guidance to operations management on implementing company HS&E programs.
- Address issues related to emergency response, performance metrics, and safety systems.
- Mentor and guide HSE Coordinators and Advisors.
- Assess the effectiveness of corrective actions from incidents, inspections, and audits.
- Analyze safety data to recommend improvements.
- Lead complex incident investigations and identify root causes.
- Train operations teams on investigation processes and best practices.
- Support supervisors in managing occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Monitor return-to-work processes and implement preventive safety measures.
Requirements
- One or more years of practical experience as an HSE professional.
- Telecommunications experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Proven ability to communicate persuasively and influence stakeholders across all levels of project hierarchy, fostering cooperation and compliance with HSE standards.
- Ability to pass all pre-access requirements including clean driver's abstract and drug screen and breathalyzer.
- Must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
