About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Product UI Visual Designer to transform product experiences from initial concepts into polished, production-ready visual designs. You will focus on trading systems, idea research management systems, and risk management systems for Front Office professionals in hedge funds and asset management firms. This role involves creating visually refined, consistent interfaces aligned with the CWAN Design System and contributing to the evolution of design standards.
Responsibilities
- Interpret wireframes, low-fidelity schematics, and AI-generated prototypes into high-fidelity visual designs.
- Apply and enforce visual design standards including typography, color, spacing, iconography, elevation, and layout grids.
- Make design judgment calls to resolve ambiguities or inconsistencies in early-stage designs.
- Prepare developer-ready Figma files with clear specifications and component usage.
- Collaborate with product designers, product managers, and engineers to ensure visual quality.
- Identify gaps in design system standards and propose new or updated standards.
- Contribute reusable component and pattern designs to the design system.
- Document rationale and usage guidance for new design standards.
- Participate in design system reviews and audit existing product surfaces for consistency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product/UI visual design with a strong portfolio.
- Proven ability to elevate low-fidelity input into refined, standards-compliant visual design.
- Deep fluency in Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, and design tokens/variables.
- Working knowledge of design systems, including components, tokens, and documentation.
- Sharp eye for visual consistency and judgment for system-level standards.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Comfort designing for dense, data-heavy professional workflows.
- Adept at using AI tools to streamline design work and make updates to designs.
