About the Role

Harris Williams seeks to hire an Experienced Associate to join the Energy, Power & Infrastructure team in the New York, NY office. This role offers meaningful impact from the start with high exposure to clients and senior bankers, a collaborative work environment, and robust professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and synthesize findings from complex analyses through financial modeling and valuation methodologies.
  • Identify trends in data and articulate their impact to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead analytical work and oversee junior team workstreams for deal execution and business development.
  • Partner with Analysts, ensuring effective use of their time through delegation and collaboration.
  • Deliver accurate, thoughtful work product and inspire others.
  • Provide real-time performance feedback to Analysts.
  • Articulate thoughts and ideas with clarity and confidence.
  • Speak up during internal and external discussions as directed by the deal team.
  • Translate technical concepts, data, and analysis into a compelling market story.
  • Participate in firm initiatives such as recruiting committees, junior banker trainings, and marketing efforts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity.
  • 1+ year as a sell-side M&A Associate strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Willingness and ability to relocate to the designated office location.
  • SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63 must be acquired within 90 days of hire.
