About the Role
Eventide Jamestown Care Center is seeking a part-time Culinary Assistant / Server to provide meal service to residents in a respectful and timely manner, contributing to the operations of the Nutrition and Culinary Services department.
Responsibilities
- Offers and serves menu choices to residents in a cheerful and respectful manner.
- Follows portion control size standards.
- Thoroughly cleans and sanitizes all dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and containers used to provide meals as well as other assigned cleaning duties.
- Operates equipment in a proper, safe, sanitary, and respectful manner.
- Prepares various menu items as assigned.
- Monitors daily menu items to verify preparation and labeling.
- Stores leftovers appropriately according to food handling standards.
- Organizes and plans work schedule to meet serving times.
- Operates dish machine according to directions, pre-soaks and sorts dishes and utensils.
- Assists in accepting vendor deliveries and storing items in proper areas.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service is preferred, but not required.
