About the Role
Join AWIN, a premier network of 23 luxury automobile dealerships and 3 collision centers in the Greater Toronto Area. Our North York Kia dealership is seeking an Apprentice Automotive Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform services based on general maintenance and minor repairs.
- Execute tasks described in repair orders efficiently and accurately.
- Contact Shop Foreman and/or Service Consultants for additional work requirements.
- Utilize appropriate tools and test equipment; report defective equipment.
- Obtain and return parts from the Parts Department as needed.
- Maintain and develop skill levels in vehicle repair and service.
- Stay informed on Federal, Provincial, and Municipal regulations.
- Ensure the shop is clean and tidy.
- Perform additional tasks as required, such as shuttle driving, car washing, valet parking, or assisting Sales Lot Attendants.
Requirements
- Registered with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
- Possess a valid Ontario G Driver’s License.
- Have a clear Driver’s Abstract.
- Be a member of the Ontario College of Trades.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Knowledge and use of power, machine, and hand tools.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing time and workflow.
