About the Role
This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, culinary equipment, and utensils to ensure an exceptional guest experience. The individual will adhere to company policies, support a learning environment, and foster a safe and welcoming workplace.
Responsibilities
- Organize, rinse, spray, and load dishes/cutlery into the dishwasher or wash by hand.
- Check cleaned items for cleanliness and re-wash if necessary.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, breakage, or discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Store all clean items in the appropriate area.
- Sort and remove garbage and recycling.
- Clean all general kitchen areas, including floors, counters, and workspaces.
- Assist with the receipt of goods and stocking shelves.
- Prepare food products as requested.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with operational departments.
- Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with guests, ownership, and employees.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Available to work up to 40 hours per week in a variety of shifts, including evenings, graveyards, and weekends.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication.

- Ability to work in a regular kitchen environment, involving standing and walking for long periods.
- Ability to work with exposure to heat, cold, steam, noise, and odors.
- Ability to perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stretching, and bending.
- Ability to work with exposure to fumes, smoke, and chemicals.
- Awareness of the risk of minor cuts and burns.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours.
