About the Role
Oversee Building Services for all hotel properties, including plant, equipment, maintenance, and repair, while ensuring Health & Safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Function as primary support to facilities, ensuring they meet prescribed company engineering operating standards.
- Ensure properties adhere to company-prescribed maintenance standards and perform equipment audits.
- Oversee energy conservation by educating properties on strategies and reducing consumption expenses.
- Train and develop Chief Engineers on essential property asset management skills.
- Advise senior management on engineering support, environmental controls, and operational efficiency.
- Procure and manage reactive and preventative maintenance plans for all group hotels.
- Ensure adherence to statutory regulations and fire life safety codes, maintaining records of tests and inspections.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of straight employment in the chosen field after graduation.
- Minimum 5 years in supervisory roles and positions with a positive career progression.
- Held the position of Chief Engineer or a relevant Property Maintenance Management Title within a hotel environment, preferably multi-site.
- Proven record of successful experience in management, budgeting, goal setting, and achieving Hotel and Building Services Engineering objectives.
- Demonstrate motivational leadership, problem-solving, planning, organizing, decision-making, prioritizing, delegating, and training skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects while maintaining a strategic overview.
