About the Role
Canduct Industries is seeking a Production Supervisor to join their expanding team in London, ON. This role is crucial for overseeing manufacturing operations and ensuring efficient production within a friendly and passionate company environment.
Responsibilities
- Accomplish assigned operational goals by communicating job expectations, planning and coordinating manufacturing activities, monitoring job results, coaching employees, ensuring conformance to quality management systems, and training employees.
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities within the production environment.
- Ensure efficient coordination of work cells and management of resources to achieve established goals.
- Communicate goals and objectives clearly to the production floor.
- Ensure work cells have the required tools, trained labor, materials, and equipment to safely fabricate material.
- Manage performance gaps and develop counter-measures.
- Maintain a safe work environment by educating and directing employees on the use of equipment, tools, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in resolving employee conflicts.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed or directed.
- Ensure all health and safety precautions are taken, policies are followed and enforced.
- Initiate, propose, or provide solutions for potential process improvements to reduce or eliminate waste.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, email, and internet sourcing.
- Ability to learn new software programs.
- Prior machine operation experience.
- Health & Safety awareness and prevention.
- Works in collaboration with hourly workers and the Production Manager.
- Ability to provide a balanced approach to resolving employee conflicts.
- Ability to read drawings and use tape measures and various measurement tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet timelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint ERP, etc.).
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
