About the Role
We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and attentive Healthcare Assistants to support a young child with complex healthcare needs in their family home. This is a rewarding one-to-one role where you'll become part of a dedicated care team, helping provide specialist support that enables the child to remain safe, comfortable, and cared for at home. This is not a domiciliary care role; you will work with a single client during your shift and will not travel between multiple homes.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support tailored to the child's needs
- Assist with personal care and daily routines
- Monitor wellbeing and report any concerns
- Follow care plans and clinical guidance
- Maintain accurate care records
- Support the family in creating a safe and positive environment for the child
Requirements
- Previous care experience is desirable
- Candidates with transferable experience in childcare, nursery settings, education support, healthcare, or support work are encouraged to apply
- Must be caring, patient, and nurturing
- Must be reliable and professional
- Must be attentive to detail and proactive in their approach
- Must be comfortable working independently within a supportive team
- Must be passionate about providing high-quality care
Skills
- Paediatric experience is a bonus
- Tracheostomy experience is a bonus
