About the Role
The Head of Operations, East serves as the key partner and leverage point for the Regional President, acting as their "second in command" to drive initiatives across the region. This role is crucial for ensuring successful implementation of business processes, tracking regional priorities, and executing key transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive adoption of consistent protocols and processes, both region-specific and national.
- Ensure successful implementation of end-to-end business processes within the US.
- Improve and drive efficiency and operating leverage, while ensuring agreed service delivery consistency standards.
- Track and report on regional priorities, translating them into actionable operating plans with clear owners.
- Implement improvement plans for underperformance within the region.
- Execute across key transformation initiatives at the enterprise and Leasing Advisory level.
- Act as Chief of Staff for US Regional Leadership, setting agendas and ensuring action items are followed through.
- Serve as the first responder and triage for operational issues that emerge in the Region.
- Ensure all local offices have regular reviews of key data points.
- Ensure in-region connectivity and accountability.
- Manage operations personnel in the region.
- Serve as a Member of the Region’s Executive Council, where applicable.
- Serve as a Member of the National Operating EC.
- Attend BLC calls and meetings.
- Attend Elevate (and similar programming events) as a key stakeholder and leader.
- Translate national and regional strategic vision into operational reality in the region.
- Lead/oversight of the annual strategic planning process for all offices in the region.
- Provide insight on future goals and oversee execution.
- Identify key themes from local strat plans and broker business planning for regional action.
- Help prioritize strategic initiatives in the region.
- Serve as a connection point for regional feedback to national leadership.
- Create/approve regional budgets with full P&L responsibility alongside the Regional President.
- Partner with local operations and leadership on financial plans and goals.
- Advise on allocation and use of holdback accounts, top-offs, etc.
- Validate Top Achiever lists.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly AR reviews to aid cash collection.
- Partner with Regional Presidents on strategic recruits and retentions.
- Negotiate and/or review employment agreements as required.
- Act as the main POC for Legal, ER & HR.
- Maintain connectivity with Line Leads and Line Ops Leads regionally.
- Oversee title policy and promotion process.
- Ensure annual performance review processes are followed consistently.
- Support people management decisions in the region.
- Identify future leaders and grow high-value talent.
- Oversee all off-boarding and broker separation agreements.
- Provide guidance on plans to improve local culture scores as needed.
- Provide and approve local/national award recommendations and selections.
- Organize/oversee culture-building events as appropriate.
- Support data and AI initiatives in the region as required by national strategy.
- Serve as a connection point for regional/local feedback to national leadership regarding technology, data and AI needs, use cases, etc.
