Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust software solutions that accelerate research workflows and improve data analysis capabilities
- Lead technical decision-making for key projects, ensuring scalable and maintainable architectures
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a strong engineering culture
- Set technical standards and drive adoption of best practices across the team
- Support and collaborate with other teams to optimize workflows and eliminate bottlenecks
- Advocate for best engineering practices
- Surprise us with innovative approaches to exponentially increase our productivity
Requirements
- Experience with one or more of the major cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Infrastructure as Code – Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar
- Proficiency in JavaScript / Node.js
- Proficiency in React or similar framework
- Experience building and maintaining microservice architectures, designing APIs, and cloud security best practices knowledge
- CI/CD practices and DevOps principles
- Experience working with multiple teams to drive alignment and results
- Service-oriented, flexible, and a team player who takes initiative
- Strong problem-solving & critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Growth mindset with enthusiasm for learning new technologies and approaches
- Innovation-focused with a willingness to experiment and introduce improved ways of working
- 5+ years of experience (or equivalent knowledge)
- Experience in an innovative, fast-paced environment
- Assumes responsibility for the success of projects, including meeting deadlines and quality standards
- Takes ownership of technical decisions and leads efforts to overcome obstacles
- Accountable for the overall performance and efficiency of engineering solutions
- Actively participates in the design, development, and testing of critical components
- Lead technical initiatives while fostering collaboration across teams
- Shape our engineering culture through mentoring and knowledge sharing
- Help grow our team by participating in hiring and talent development
