About the Role

Cirrus Logic is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to develop products alongside applications, systems, and firmware engineers. You will create graphical configuration and tuning tools, along with command-line utilities, for customers integrating our products into their devices. This role requires a passion for electronics and proficiency in OOP languages.

Responsibilities

Develop critical desktop software tools that enable the graphical configuration and tuning of Cirrus Logic integrated circuits
Work with applications, systems, and firmware teams to define and build customer-facing tools
Collaborate with the development team for stand-ups, requirement gathering and estimates, and project planning
Decompose project requirements into actionable stories and tasks, including effort estimates
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s development processes, focusing on quality, scalability, and performance

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
6+ years of object-oriented software development experience supporting enterprise-level software
Expert-level proficiency in Java, C++, C#, or a similar statically typed programming language
Hands-on experience with development and testing of embedded systems
Demonstrated experience developing complex desktop or mobile applications
Strong understanding of multithreaded and multiprocess systems, including interprocess communication (IPC)
Familiarity with Python, Ruby or similar scripting languages
Curiosity about microcontrollers and digital signal processing
Ability to effectively collaborate with users, both internal and external
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.

Candidates must be able to access technical data without a requirement for an export license
