About the Role
The Enterprise Solutions team at STO Building Group is seeking a proactive Marketing Director to transform business objectives into measurable marketing results. This role will sharpen the team's position, enhance storytelling, elevate brand presence, and drive success in a sophisticated client market. You will collaborate with leadership, business development, and marketing teams across the organization, shaping strategy, content, major pursuits, and campaigns to build a differentiated brand and support growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own the marketing strategy for Enterprise Solutions, ensuring brand consistency.
- Partner with leadership and business development to align marketing initiatives with growth goals.
- Serve as a strategic advisor on brand positioning, market differentiation, and competitive messaging.
- Act as brand steward for Enterprise Solutions across the STOBG platform.
- Build and manage a KPI framework to measure marketing effectiveness.
- Develop storytelling themes, positioning statements, and messaging frameworks.
- Oversee thought leadership content creation (bylines, case studies, podcasts, white papers).
- Guide visual and verbal brand identity across all formats.
- Lead marketing strategy and execution for RFP/RFQ pursuits.
- Develop and maintain a library of reusable proposal content and project assets.
- Lead interview/presentation preparation and coaching for pursuit teams.
- Conduct debriefs to capture lessons learned and improve pursuit strategies.
- Track pursuit metrics to inform resource allocation and go/no-go decisions.
- Design and lead go-to-market campaigns for strategic initiatives.
- Define target audience segments and craft tailored campaign narratives.
- Set and track campaign-level KPIs.
- Own external communications strategy, including press releases, media relations, and award submissions.
- Develop and maintain messaging platforms and talking points for executives.
- Develop internal campaigns and content to reinforce culture and business narrative.
- Partner with Client Experience Manager on communications and events for client engagement.
- Own paid and organic social strategy, including budget allocation and targeting.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar balancing various content types.
- Manage the Enterprise Solutions website content strategy and analytics.
- Oversee email marketing programs, including segmentation, automation, and nurture sequences.
- Track digital performance metrics and translate results into actionable recommendations.
- Guide employee advocacy and executive thought-leadership on social channels.
- Stay current on emerging digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Build and manage a team of marketing coordinators and/or designers.
- Manage external agency and freelance relationships.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience.
- At least 3–5+ years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom).
- Proficiency in web-based tools and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to create and manage graphic design assets.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., OpenAsset, Cosential, Monday.com).
- Experience in A/E/C, real estate, or professional services/technical B2B sector is a plus.
- Proven track record developing winning proposals and qualifications materials.
- Strong writing and editing skills; ability to translate technical detail into client-facing narrative.
- Experience building and reporting on marketing KPIs in a long-cycle B2B sales environment.
- Demonstrated experience planning and executing go-to-market campaigns.
- Hands-on experience with external communications/PR and internal/employee communications.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (website CMS/analytics, email/marketing automation, paid social, SEO/SEM fundamentals).
- Comfort working across multiple brands with varying stakeholder needs.
