About the Role

As a (Senior) Consultant – Data Science, you will be a pioneer of digital transformation, helping companies make informed decisions and drive growth by transforming raw data into actionable insights. You will develop and implement machine learning models, prepare complex datasets for analysis, and develop scalable ML and AI-based solutions using cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement machine learning models for various industries and client challenges using statistical and analytical methods.
Prepare complex datasets for analysis and modeling, identify relevant correlations, and derive robust insights.
Develop scalable ML and AI-based solutions using various cloud technologies.
Translate business requirements and client challenges into analytical and technical solutions with project teams.
Work at the intersection of Data Science, technology, and consulting, understanding business challenges and deriving actionable recommendations from analyses.
Contribute to classic consulting tasks, including structuring questions, conducting analyses, preparing results, and creating presentations.
Take responsibility for your work area, structure tasks independently, and communicate approach, scope, and results clearly within the project team.
Prepare technical and analytical results in a target-group-oriented manner and communicate them understandably to business teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Question results with analytical thinking, identify patterns and correlations, and help clients gain relevant insights from data for their decisions.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business or Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable field.
Solid quantitative and analytical skills.
First practical experience in Data Science (internships, working student roles, theses, or 2-3 years of relevant professional experience).
Practical experience in modeling with Python or comparable tools.
Good understanding of AI and machine learning methods, especially tree-based and Bayesian methods.
Interest in consulting and willingness to take on classic consulting tasks alongside Data Science responsibilities.
Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases and ETL processes.
Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented work approach with an interest in economic contexts and business/client challenges.
Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and understandably.
Comfortable working in technical teams and interacting with business stakeholders and clients.
Proactive, reliable, and team-oriented work ethic.
Ability to take responsibility.
Fluent communication in German and English.
First practical experience with common cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience with Generative AI for information retrieval, analysis, or data summarization.
