About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and energetic Awareness & Activation Marketing Executive to help bring Cancer Research UK’s high-profile campaigns to life, reaching millions of people and supporting our mission to beat cancer. You will develop and deliver audience-led integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, from shaping briefs and creative through to launch, optimization, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Bring together audience insight, previous campaign learnings, and channel trends to help develop clear marketing briefs, objectives, and KPIs.
  • Support the development and production of compelling creative, working with agencies and the internal Creative Studio across multiple channels, coordinating timings, feedback, approvals, and campaign set-up.
  • Work with media agencies to brief against objectives, review channel plans, coordinate feedback, and monitor performance, helping to optimize campaigns in-flight.
  • Support campaign reporting and evaluation, turning results and learnings into recommendations for future campaigns.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across the organization and external agencies, partners, and suppliers to deliver campaigns, share best practices, and drive results.
  • Lead the team’s monthly finance process, including raising POs, receipting, reconciliation, and monitoring spend against budget.

Requirements

  • Experience in delivering multi-channel campaigns and prioritizing tasks from briefing through to execution, optimization, and reporting.
  • Experience working with agencies to develop and deliver multi-channel campaign activity.
  • Strong eye for detail, confidence in reviewing creative against brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Ability to brief and review media plans and understand how results can be used to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Understanding of audience insight, supporter journeys, and how different channels work together to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Experience of managing or supporting team finance processes including raising and receipting POs, tracking spend against budget, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Experience managing projects or campaigns involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate activity, prioritize competing deadlines, maintain attention to detail, and build strong relationships across teams, agencies, and partners.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and familiarity with tools such as GA4 and Copilot.
  • Fluency in English essential.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Internal candidates must have completed their 6-month 'getting started' period.
  • Internal candidates applying for a secondment must have discussed their intention to apply and gained approval with their line manager.
  • Internal candidates applying for a secondment must have been in their substantive role for at least 6 months (if previously on secondment).
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
