About the Role

Assume full responsibility for the day-to-day operational activities, including team leadership, workload management, service delivery, productivity, compliance, customer performance, and cost control within the Portable Fire Extinguisher division.

Responsibilities

  • Lead field operational activity and associated business processes in the delivery of planned, reactive and corrective service, maintenance and works within the Portable Fire Extinguisher division.
  • Lead and develop teams to ensure optimized productivity and service delivery to achieve sustained profitable growth.
  • Ownership of customer portfolio and deliverables.
  • Proactively meet with customers to nurture relationships.
  • Deal with people matters.
  • Manage training, development, talent and succession.
  • Ensure compliance with all audits.
  • Lead a 'safety first' culture adopting a target zero mindset where all are accountable for safety.
  • Drive the momentum on completing inspections by month due.
  • Review engineer performance and productivity.
  • Review customer contracts.
  • Drive sustainable growth and profitability.

Requirements

  • Field Operational Management Experience is essential.
  • Experience in the Fire Industry would be advantageous.
  • Natural communicator, with an ability to build rapport with customers and team.
  • Solution / results focused – Strive to understand and resolve potential issues to drive business growth.
  • Prioritize workloads & multitask effectively.
  • Highly organised - Planning or scheduling experience would be beneficial but not essential.

  • South East (SE, GU, BN, TN, CR, CT, ME, RH, TW)
  • Ideally based around the centre or northern end of the patch (RG, HP, WD)

Salary/Compensations

  • £44,000 – £48,000 per annum
  • Up to £13,800 OTE Bonus
