About the Role
Woven by Toyota is seeking a Software Engineer to develop ground truth sensor calibration & data validation tools for cloud-based, next-generation autonomous driving systems. This role focuses on accelerating and maintaining calibration & data validation systems used across multiple teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, implementation, and delivery of calibration & validation pipelines and infrastructure, proactively resolving deficiencies.
- Write high-quality, scalable code and workflows for processing large quantities of fleet data.
- Maintain stable cloud-based calibration & validation services.
- Contribute SQL-based validation tests and collaborate with hardware and data teams for sensor data validation.
- Enable other engineering teams to build reliably on shared infrastructure.
- Improve and simplify the in-house Vision library.
- Instrument and monitor production systems, proactively identifying and addressing issues.
- Operate within a high-velocity environment using rigorous agile development practices.
- Work within a hybrid model, requiring three days per week in the London office.
Requirements
- Bachelor's (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience writing production-quality, testable, and modular code.
- Experience building and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
- Experience managing and maintaining software repositories, including code reviews, dependency management, versioning, and enforcing contribution standards.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tooling for production service health.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines.
