About the Role
The CDN Configuration team oversees the end-to-end configuration ecosystem across our edge platform. Our core mission is delivering a coherent, safe, highly performant, and resilient experience that empowers customers to modify their traffic routing with absolute confidence. We enable users to build and tailor their own virtual network by rapidly generating settings and deploying updates globally without friction. While core teams engineer individual edge components, our group architecturally unifies these capabilities, enabling customers to seamlessly orchestrate their entire pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with skilled software professionals to deliver robust mechanisms that grant users total governance and safety across their network settings.
- Architect services that let users seamlessly prototype, execute, evaluate, and discard tailored traffic rules, ensuring optimal alignment with their operational requirements.
- Interface directly with distributed edge platforms and partner with cross-functional groups to streamline and fortify our global infrastructure.
- Drive technical alignment alongside engineering peers across the organization at the intersection of core application deployment and infrastructure operations.
Requirements
- Solid competencies in practical computer science, applying the right algorithms, data structures, concurrency control systems to software design, and building large, distributed systems.
- Experience operating production systems safely, including deployment, rollout, rollback, and observability.
- Ability to drive communication and consensus across teams.
- A drive for continuous improvement in both operations and new product development.
- Willingness to learn new things and collaborate on innovative solutions.
- Potential need for authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export control laws without sponsorship.
