About the Role
The Account Executive - Vendor Services role is responsible for managing, maintaining, and growing a book of business by ensuring consistent service levels, driving utilization of membership entitlements, identifying growth opportunities, generating new business, and optimizing membership service levels. This role involves developing territory and account growth plans to maximize contract renewals and managing clients with various memberships. The Account Executive will partner with members to understand their challenges, uncover opportunities, and align them with company services to support their sales, marketing, and product initiatives. The role may also include managing prospecting accounts.
Responsibilities
- Manage a book of Info-Tech/Vendor Services members who are all technology/software providers.
- Partner with members to understand their needs and match them to services, ensuring value through regular feedback.
- Build key initiative plans focused on members' core projects and support matching available Research & Advisory services.
- Manage interactions between members and Info-Tech & SoftwareReviews analysts.
- Build relationships and engage with key stakeholders within each member organization.
- Drive high utilization of current products and collaborate with members to leverage SoftwareReviews collateral & services.
- Build strategic account plans to maximize current account spend and memberships and uncover additional opportunities.
- Identify customer success and renewal issues, and develop and execute action plans with internal teams.
- Ensure members are accurately represented on Info-Tech and SoftwareReviews in bi-annual category reports.
- Record client details and account notes in CRM system and follow internal reporting processes.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education – Minimum College Diploma
- 2-5 years B2B sales experience
- 2-5 Years of experience in customer success or account management within a fast-paced work environment.

- Critical Thinking: Ability to assimilate complex information and communicate it simply.
- Internal and external communication: Understand and communicate value proposition clearly; understand client needs and find appropriate analyst support.
- Planning and Organization: Set daily schedules, plan territory, and set account growth plans.
- Time Management: Manage the member lifecycle, schedule calls, and prioritize tasks.
- Goal Setting: Set personal goals for professional development, take ownership of performance, manage goal attainment, and communicate/ask for help when needed.
- Active Listening: Identify client needs, ask effective questions, and listen attentively.
Experience Level
- 2-5 years B2B sales
- 2-5 Years of experience in customer success or account management
