About the Role
The Account Manager position for WorldStrides is responsible for selling educational tours to qualified Program Leaders and managing an established base of current clients. The role requires upholding consistent sales numbers, retaining and reselling business, and closing new leads.
Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with Program Leaders.
- Respond promptly to inquiries via phone or email.
- Engage personally with Program Leaders to determine needs and problem-solve.
- Maintain phone outreach to existing and new customers to meet sales goals.
- Solicit new clients by prospecting, answering sales calls, and following up on leads.
- Meet or exceed sign-up goals per sales season and maintain resold business.
- Resell future tours to Program Leaders and inherit new clients.
- Work effectively with Program Management, Program Associates, and Financial Service Representatives.
- Educate self on relevant tours and supported brands.
- Comprehend the student travel industry and competition.
- Support all WorldStrides policies, procedures, and business strategies.
- Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
Requirements

- Ability to balance customer service expectations with business considerations.
- Experience in sales, customer relationship management, or customer service (including restaurants) is a plus.
- A love for traveling and belief in the value of travel for student understanding.
- Adaptable to frequently changing systems and workloads.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
