About the Role
As a Commercial Manager, you will be part of the project management team responsible for the development, modernization, and construction of heat and power generation facilities. You will report to the Project Manager and Program Manager, overseeing commercial project management in close collaboration with the Project Manager. Your responsibilities include administrative contract management, business case management, strategic procurement, project controlling, and general commercial support.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage the project budget and value, including continuous updates of estimates (p10, p50, p90).
- Control and optimize financial processes according to applicable guidelines (call-offs, framework agreements, orders, measurement review, invoices, guarantees).
- Manage commercial contract execution within your project, acting as the interface with contractor representatives and supporting commercial meetings and negotiations.
- Oversee financial reporting (Stress Test, VOWD, BP planning, Quarterly Reporting, Investment Planning).
- Provide commercial support for project risk management.
- Manage the interface with the insurance department.
- Control the commercial contract development for procurement projects and framework agreements (procurement strategy, tendering, awarding, change order management) in collaboration with the Project Manager and relevant departments such as Engineering, Contract Management, Strategic Procurement, Legal Department, etc., on a project-specific basis.
Requirements
- Proven several years of project experience in a commercial area, particularly in order development and contract management during project realization.
- Completed university degree in a related field.
- Proven experience in leading (project) teams.
- Negotiation skills, willingness to compromise, and persuasiveness.
- High level of software proficiency, including: Office 365 Suite (Word / Excel Planner); MS Project.
- Fluent German language skills at least at C1 level as the main working language and fluent English language skills.
- Approximately 70 percent of the requirements are sufficient for application.
