About the Role
As a Volunteer Mentor in the Criminal Justice Team, you will support individuals involved in the criminal justice system who are also facing drug and alcohol challenges. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant difference in people's lives by providing one-to-one support and assisting with group activities.
Responsibilities
- Offer one-to-one support to service users.
- Co-facilitate groups and activities with the team.
- Engage with individuals in various settings, such as coffee shops or libraries.
- Support individuals in setting and achieving goals.
- Research job opportunities with service users.
Requirements
- Must be flexible, curious, and a good listener.
- Must be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.
