About the Role
Change Grow Live is seeking a Foreign Nationals Outreach Worker to assess and engage service users with substance misuse and homelessness issues. This role focuses on supporting EU Nationals to access the right interventions and achieve positive outcomes, requiring effective communication in Romanian, Polish, and/or Farsi.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Outreach and Community Team Leader.
- Manage a caseload of Foreign Nationals experiencing rough sleeping and substance misuse.
- Collaborate with internal teams and partner agencies (Housing, domestic abuse services, Dual Diagnosis Mental Health) to support service user recovery and complex needs.
- Engage with Foreign Nationals who are rough sleeping and sex working through street-based outreach.
- Act as the main coordinator for a caseload, providing comprehensive assessments and Drug and Alcohol support.
- Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning, and onward referral.
- Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm to service users and the wider community.
- Provide advocacy for access to partnership services.
- Complete planned outreach projects with partner agencies, including street counts and satellite delivery for vulnerable groups.
- Support social (re)integration, promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
- Work with the Police, Home Office, and anti-trafficking agencies when necessary to address exploitation and trafficking issues.
Requirements
- Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience working in a similar field.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Romanian, Polish, and/or Farsi.
- Proactive with the ability to work on own initiative, possessing excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
- Knowledge of services available in various countries of origin.
- Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to following necessary safeguards.
- Seek out learning opportunities to improve professional knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to and oversee the learning and development of others.
- Work flexibly in line with service requirements, including weekend and evening work.
- Experience working with people who have been trafficked or victims of modern-day slavery.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

- Outer London Weighting (£2,250.61)
