About the Role
Sing Education is seeking passionate musicians with music-related degrees to inspire the next generation with the transformative power of music. The role involves weekly teaching in primary schools, delivering curriculum-based music lessons and leading assemblies and extracurricular music activities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver singing-led curricular whole-class music lessons from Nursery to Year 6 using Sing Education teaching resources.
- Lead singing assemblies.
- Conduct choirs, and lunchtime and after-school clubs.
Requirements
- University graduate with a degree in music or a related field.
- Strong vocal skills with the confidence to lead lessons and assemblies.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Capability to conduct whole-class music lessons.
- Basic keyboard proficiency for classroom use.
- Understanding of the National Curriculum for music.
- Proficient with ICT and able to use online systems such as G Suite.
- Experience in classroom teaching or one-on-one instruction.
- Previous work with children or young people in a teaching or leadership role.
- Passionate about inspiring a love for music in pupils.
- Strong classroom management and disciplinary skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both Sing Education and school teams.
- Maintains appropriate confidentiality.
- Possesses a sense of humour and can generate enthusiasm for music.
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to personal and professional development.
- No PGCE or QTS required.
