About the Role
Deliver enterprise data strategy outcomes across the end-to-end lifecycle within the Markets Post Trade Technology division.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain systems for data collection, storage, processing, and analysis.
- Develop and maintain data architectures, pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and security.
- Design and implement data warehouses and data lakes managing appropriate data volumes, velocity, and security measures.
- Develop processing and analysis algorithms for complex data and volumes.
- Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.
- Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and ensure operational effectiveness.
- Lead a team performing complex tasks, impacting the business function.
- Set objectives, coach employees, appraise performance, and determine reward outcomes.
- Lead collaborative assignments and guide team members.
- Identify the need for specialized expertise to complete assignments.
- Identify new directions for assignments and projects.
- Consult on complex issues and advise People Leaders on escalated issues.
- Identify risk mitigation strategies and develop new policies/procedures for control and governance.
- Own risk management and control strengthening related to work performed.
- Understand how different work areas coordinate to achieve organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with business-aligned support areas to stay updated on business activity and strategy.
- Engage in complex data analysis from multiple internal and external sources to solve problems creatively.
- Communicate complex information, including sensitive or difficult-to-convey content.
- Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in ETL development, data transformation, and end-to-end pipeline workflows.
- Solid database and querying skills with expertise in SQL, joins, and large-scale data modeling.
- Experience integrating multiple enterprise data sources, including API/feed handling.
- Experience working with distributed data environments.
- Strong capability in debugging pipelines, resolving data issues, and validating datasets.
- Experience working with data quality frameworks and controls.
- Understanding of financial datasets.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
