This role within the Central Technology function will support the delivery of a diverse roadmap across Enterprise Apps, Data, IT, and Digital. Initially, the focus will be on leading a global program to migrate teams to a new Marketing & Segmentation platform, integrate it within the existing ecosystem, and manage the associated change management activities. The role requires a strong sense of ownership, the ability to drive both technical and business aspects of change, and a deep interest in maturing the PMO.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain robust programme and project plans, governance, RAID logs, dependencies, milestones, and success measures.
- Provide accurate, timely reporting on project progress, stage gate tracking, risks, decisions, and delivery confidence.
- Coordinate activities across engineering, data, architecture, infrastructure, product, security, and third-party delivery partners.
- Drive accountability across project teams, proactively identifying issues, removing blockers, and escalating risks.
- Ensure projects remain aligned to agreed scope, timelines, budgets, and success criteria.
- Maintain high standards of project hygiene and operational excellence using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and portfolio reporting frameworks.
- Act as the bridge between business and technology teams, translating requirements and concepts.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Operations.
- Facilitate effective decision making by bringing together stakeholders and surfacing trade-offs.
- Coordinate business readiness activities ahead of key releases and go-lives.
- Connect with the business sponsor on adoption post roll-out, run project retrospectives, and track success criteria completion.
- Co-develop PMO ways of working with the Programme Director to enhance team maturity and portfolio operations.
- Drive Jira maturity across the full delivery lifecycle to enable automations.
- Role model behaviours and processes for junior team members and coach them.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering complex technology programmes within digital transformation, technology transformation, and/or technology-enabled business transformation environments.
- Strong technical foundation with experience working across business applications, digital products, data platforms, integrations, infrastructure, and enterprise technology environments.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, modern technology architecture, and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Solid understanding of modern cloud data platforms (e.g. Databricks, Lakehouse architecture) and legacy-to-cloud migration principles.
- Ability to identify and manage data-specific risks (quality, reconciliation, compliance) and understand the complexities of integrating multiple source systems.
- Comfortable managing teams with varying levels of technical experience.
- Commercially aware of cloud data platform cost considerations.
- Experience working across cross-functional teams including technical and business stakeholders.
- Highly organised with strong operational and PMO discipline.
- Commercially minded with a strong understanding of how technology supports business processes, operational efficiency, and measurable business value.
