About the Role
Perform conventional and moderately-complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within a discipline. Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Define the problem, establish the work scope, prepare the budget and schedule, plan the work, provide technical direction, and report the work status.
- Develop detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
- Provide support for other engineering activities as required.
- Supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.
- Be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.
- Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers.
- Possess experience and familiarity with Dubai Local Authorities’ (DEWA) procedural requirements, review requirements, and approval requirements.
- Review the drawing & design before DEWA approval submittal.
- Follow up with Contractor as well as DEWA for getting approval to maintain all files and records on designated forms/format.
- Ensure that the contractor is not relieved of his responsibility without client authorization.
- Coordinate with DEWA/contractor for execution of LV/HV work.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Requirements
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with third party client, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
- Experience in dealing with government authorities such as DEWA, RTA, DM etc.
- Thorough knowledge of DEWA regulations and standards.
- Proven ability to perform in a management capacity.
- Excellent written and oral communications.
- Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.
