About the Role

As an Operative Specialist for District Heating Network Operations, you will lead and coordinate complex planned work and disruptions within the district heating system. You will independently develop operational concepts for troubleshooting and ensuring supply security, coordinating all necessary measures in case of disruptions, including the deployment of internal staff and the coordination of external companies. You will also develop and implement operational concepts to ensure supply security, plan and organize renovations, summer repairs, and other maintenance and repair measures as the operator, including cost planning and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate complex planned work and disruptions in the district heating system.
• Independently develop operational concepts for troubleshooting and ensuring supply security.
• Coordinate all necessary measures for disruption resolution and restoration of supply in case of a disruption, including deployment control of own employees and coordination of external companies.
• Develop and implement operational concepts for ensuring supply security.
• Plan and organize renovations, summer repairs, and other maintenance and repair measures.
• Monitor contractually compliant execution on-site, ensure cost, schedule, and quality targets, and initiate corrective actions in case of performance issues.
• Coordinate operational implementation with customers, authorities, contractors, and involved departments, considering operational requirements and supply security.
• Ensure compliance with work, environmental, and traffic safety regulations during network operations.
• Conduct acceptance tests, evaluate services performed technically, and verify quantities according to the valid bill of quantities.
• Participate in a network-wide on-call service to ensure continuous heat supply.
• Maintain operational data in SAP and document operational measures and system statuses comprehensibly.

Requirements

• Completed university or university of applied sciences degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy, Process, or Utility Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Knowledge and practical experience in the energy industry, maintenance, or construction/network operations, ideally in district heating supply and distribution.
• Proficient in MS Office and ideally experienced with SAP-PM and other operational systems for operational documentation.
• Familiar with the application of VOB (Vergabe- und Vertragsordnung für Bauleistungen) and understands operational control and acceptance of services.
• Clear communication skills and enjoyment of teamwork.
• Independent, solution-oriented, and proactive work style, taking responsibility and acting confidently and reliably in an operational environment.
• Analytical and structured approach to tasks.
• Fluent German language skills (written and spoken) at a minimum C1 level.
• Possession of a Class B driver's license.
