About the Role
This role offers an opportunity for a Director to join KPMG’s Life Insurance Actuarial team, focusing on the origination and execution of engagements within Life Insurance for clients globally. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Actuarial leadership team, contributing to strategy development, leading propositions, generating new business, and delivering actuarial aspects of broader consulting engagements. This includes developing the actuarial team through training and performance management.
Responsibilities
- Generating and leading Actuarial projects
- Proposition development
- Supporting the wider Insurance practice in generating and delivering wider insurance consulting opportunities
- Leading the actuarial support for one or more insurance company audits
- Leading and supporting broader go to market activities with other KPMG insurance teams, e.g. Deals, Risk and Regulatory and Finance Transformation
- Performance management and development of more junior members of the Life actuarial team
- Introducing new business into KPMG individually and collaboratively
- Building and maintaining a network of potential clients and introducing other KPMG SMEs into that network
- Ensuring compliance with KPMG’s risk and quality processes and any applicable professional or regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Significant experience in Life Insurance for either a Consultancy, an insurer or reinsurer
- Experience of presenting complex technical information in board level meetings
- Exceptional people management skills with experience of leading and developing teams
- A track record of developing and managing improvements or business propositions from first idea through to full implementation
- Consulting experience is advantageous but not essential
- Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, or equivalent is ideal
