About the Role

The Graduate Engineering Consultant role is within the Design & Projects team of Savills’ Engineering and Design Consultancy (EDC). EDC is rapidly becoming a leading engineering department in the real estate sector, known for its success and professionalism. The team offers technical expert solutions throughout an asset’s lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal. Graduates will gain diverse experience across various service lines, developing a strong, well-rounded engineering mindset. The role involves practical application of engineering skills, including site surveys, MEP system design using modern software, client meetings, and report writing. Graduates will receive tailored growth plans, regular one-to-ones, review sessions, and comprehensive training programmes.

Responsibilities

Provide input on design strategy and conceptual designs.
Undertake design calculations.
Undertake site inspections and understand its challenges.
Design installations to meet all existing, relevant British Standards, Building Regulations and other relevant standards.
Design installations to meet requirements for energy efficiency and low carbon requirements.
Work as part of a team to meet project brief and programme requirements.
Provide assistance and support to other members of the engineering team within the office including vertical transportation, security, intelligent buildings, BACS, etc.
Commit to supporting strategic sustainability policies and our internal environmental programme objectives.
Commit to achieving Chartered Engineer status through relevant professional institution.
Familiarise and learn about sustainable low energy initiatives and to share this with other members of your team and wider within the Partnership.
