About the Role
This graduate role focuses on land and resources within the infrastructure and utilities sector. Graduates will gain experience in land consents, referencing, negotiation, planning, and landowner liaison. The role involves both fieldwork, such as site inspections and landowner negotiations, and desk-based work, including GIS planning and legal documentation. The program offers comprehensive training and support to help graduates reach their full potential and achieve professional qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Walk on project sites
- Inspect property and crops
- Deal with landowner and tenant negotiations
- Negotiate Heads of Terms for access agreements, Wayleaves and Easements
- Produce GIS plans
- Produce legal documentation
- Produce design solutions
- Demonstrate a strong foundational knowledge and understanding of the profession, qualification, and role
- Enrol and begin active progress towards qualification, understanding competencies/KSBs and maintaining an up-to-date record of experience
- Complete all required induction training
- Ask good relevant questions, demonstrating curiosity and enthusiasm about the business
- Have a foundational understanding of the UK business strategy, team strategy, and personal contribution
- Adhere to additional divisional requirements
- Understand personal brand, including office attire, etiquette, and team expectations
- Accurately complete tasks on time, with guidance
- Approach tasks with team and client expectations in mind
- Show attention to detail in all outputs, including data accuracy, formatting, and compliance with Savills’ brand and policies
- Maintain good time keeping
- Arrive at work in good time and be a reliable team member
- Meet agreed deadlines consistently, prioritizing tasks effectively
- Communicate capacity issues or questions early and proactively
- Begin building effective working relationships with colleagues
- Have regular 1:1s with line manager
- Encourage team members to provide feedback on work
