About the Role
In this position, you will combine social work in the living environment, tenant support, and event organization. You will accompany members in various life situations, promote neighborhood initiatives, and contribute to actively shaping cooperative coexistence.
Responsibilities
- Bring people and the neighborhood together
- Plan, organize, and accompany events and meeting opportunities for members
- Manage the tenant meeting place as well as the organization and coordination of guest rooms
- Support neighborhood initiatives and help coordinate volunteer work and mutual aid
- Provide advisory and supportive assistance to tenants in individual social cases
- Act as a mediator in conflicts within the living environment and contribute to constructive solutions
- Actively participate in social neighborhood development projects
- Collaborate with social service providers, counseling centers, and other network partners
- Support internal communication through notices, information letters, and member information
- Handle administrative tasks and manage the petty cash fund
Requirements
- Completed vocational training or a degree in social work, social pedagogy, or a comparable social or pedagogical qualification
- Experience working with groups, volunteers, community centers, or social institutions is welcome
- Enjoy interacting with people and have a good understanding of different life situations
- Strong communication, empathy, and conflict resolution skills for daily collaboration
- Structured self-organization and independent work style
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Willingness to work flexible hours occasionally, for example, for events
- Experience in the housing industry or cooperative structures is advantageous
- Knowledge of the Berlin social landscape is advantageous
- Practical experience in organizing small events or community activities is advantageous
- Knowledge of the local area in Treptow-Köpenick is advantageous
- Residing in Treptow-Köpenick or the immediate vicinity is advantageous
