About the Role
We are passionate about healthy, wholesome, and organic foods. For the establishment of a new manufactory in Kreuzberg, we are seeking new employees who, like us, enjoy food that is lovingly filled, packaged, and distributed in small batches. We focus on quality, design, and aspiration, not mass production.
Responsibilities
- Support in setting up a production facility in our large kitchen for processed foods.
- Focus on the production of sweets and pastries, overnight oats, and sandwiches/baked goods, as well as their filling and preservation.
- Filling of food products in compliance with hygiene standards.
- Preservation of food products using appropriate methods.
- Labeling of products according to specifications.
- Packaging of finished products for shipping.
- Operating machinery for filling, labeling, and processing.
- Ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines in production.
- Contributing to the optimization of production processes.
- Assisting in the community catering kitchen and in logistics.
- Ensuring compliance with hygiene and quality standards (HACCP, IFS, BRC).
Requirements
- Experience in food production or comparable fields.
- Training in the preparation of sweets and pastries.
- In-depth understanding of food production, especially in the aforementioned area (sweets and pastries).
- Experience in gastronomy or kitchen, e.g., as a food technology specialist, machine and system operator, cook, or kitchen practical assistant.
- Technical understanding and enjoyment of practical tasks.
- IT skills are desirable.
- Multilingualism is desirable.
- Knowledge of sign language is desirable.
