About the Role

The Economics team leads on property, planning, and economics, influencing strategy, policy, research, and delivery at various levels. They establish economic and business cases for projects, conduct impact assessments, and develop new business opportunities in economic consultancy. The team collaborates with other Savills teams, including Research, and works on marketing, bids, project delivery, and building expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and influence economic, planning, property development, regeneration, and infrastructure development strategy, policy, research, and delivery.
  • Establish economic, financial, market, and business cases for projects and programmes.
  • Carry out social and economic impact assessments.
  • Develop new business opportunities in economic consultancy.
  • Collaborate with the Savills Research team to develop research areas.
  • Work with others on marketing and bids to secure work.
  • Work with colleagues in the delivery of projects.
  • Build expertise in agreed areas of work.
  • Help prepare competitive proposals.
  • Take responsibility for project elements from start to finish.
  • Undertake research and analysis.
  • Develop creative and original solutions.
  • Contribute to writing complex reports, interpreting data, and making recommendations.
  • Contribute to and participate in presentations.
  • Communicate and negotiate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Maintain awareness of market conditions and government policies.
  • Keep informed about relevant policy and practice documents.
  • Attend external events and identify business opportunities.
