About the Role
Wellcome Trust is seeking a Corporate Content Producer to join their Content team. This role involves delivering a coherent and engaging corporate content program across digital channels, translating complex information into clear, audience-focused content that strengthens understanding of Wellcome’s mission and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Produce clear, accurate, and engaging digital content supporting corporate communications priorities.
- Translate complex scientific, policy, or organizational information into accessible content for diverse audiences.
- Identify opportunities for new corporate content to improve understanding of Wellcome’s mission and strategic direction.
- Build relationships with senior executives to source, develop, and create high-quality content packages.
- Ensure all content reflects Wellcome’s tone of voice, brand guidelines, and commitment to inclusive communication.
- Utilize organizational outputs to create new, shareable content that improves findability and usefulness.
- Plan, draft, edit, and publish content across Wellcome’s digital channels, focusing on the website and social media profiles of Executive Committee members.
- Devise a quarterly content plan in collaboration with the Digital Channels Manager and Corporate Communications Manager.
- Commission, produce, and edit video and images in line with brand guidelines, working with external agencies and internal teams.
- Support community management and social media monitoring, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
- Maintain efficient workflows and contribute to the content calendar for timely publication.
- Optimize all content for accessibility, SEO, AEO, and platform best practices.
- Use audience insight, analytics, and search data to shape content decisions and improve content effectiveness.
Requirements
- Experience in digital content planning and production, either in-house or within an agency.
- Demonstrable experience influencing internal stakeholders on editorial judgment and content strategy.
- Experience capturing high-quality video and photography and managing production.
- Ability to demonstrate working at pace and producing content on the move.
- Proven experience working closely with senior executives to create high-quality content.
- Ability to navigate complexity, challenge, and shape outcomes.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Experience using content management systems, social media publishing tools, and analytics platforms.
- Curious with a strong instinct for finding the heart of a story.
- Tenacious and resilient when navigating complex information-gathering processes.
- Able to learn quickly about unfamiliar issues, including scientific and policy topics.
- Confident building relationships across teams and with leadership, working collaboratively.
- Calm and organized under pressure, able to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong understanding of Wellcome’s mission and priorities, and able to integrate them into content decisions.
