About the Role
Lead the engineering squad building Spendesk's travel and out-of-pocket expense experiences, owning team objectives and delivery against clear KPIs and SLOs. Grow and engage a cross-functional team of fullstack and mobile engineers, providing technical leadership on architecture, reliability, security, and integrations.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of around 10 software engineers, including feedback, performance management, progression, recruitment, and onboarding.
- Set objectives and deliver the Travel & Expense roadmap with the Product Manager, Product Designer, and Tech Leader on a quarterly basis planning divided in 2 weeks sprints.
- Improve customer experiences across trips, hotel booking, travel approvals, expense claims, mileage, per diems, reimbursement, and compliance.
- Guide architecture and integrations across travel suppliers, cards, payments, invoices, accounting, identity, and security services.
- Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, security, observability, SLOs, incident response, and production ownership.
- Build an autonomous, customer-focused team that delivers measurable outcomes and continuously improves its ways of working.
- Participate in the migration of the platform in our service-based architecture designed with hexagonal pattern.
