About the Role
The Professional Services team empowers Stripe users to achieve maximum value from their investment quickly and confidently. This role supports large, intricate Stripe implementations by guiding users through integration, project planning, stakeholder coordination, and education.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full onboarding cycle for mid-market and enterprise companies from contract signing through launch.
- Develop and manage tailored integration architecture, change management, and adoption strategies.
- Collaborate across departments, including Sales, Technical Services, Product, and Engineering.
- Manage several workstreams or engagements, track milestones and risks, and coordinate launches and handoffs.
- Develop, manage, and implement a customer’s integration architecture, change management and adoption strategies.
- Serve as the primary contact for the customer’s project team, align business and technical stakeholders, establish communication rhythms, and manage competing priorities.
- Lead interactive workshops designed to educate users and share best practices.
- Assess organisational readiness and resourcing, guide business design and training, challenge incorrect assumptions, and balance customer requests against feasibility and strategic value.
- Explain technical concepts clearly.
- Resolve most issues without close supervision, adapt plans when circumstances change, recommend fixes, and escalate when broader delivery is at risk.
- Partner with other Sales and Technical Services teams to improve the overall Stripe user journey.
- Engage with Product and Engineering teams to help drive product strategy for large users.
- Maintain implementation plans, RAID logs, stakeholder maps, architecture inputs, retrospectives, and go-live monitoring using the ProServ methodology.
- Act as a resource to colleagues and advise others on complex implementation matters.
- Collaborate with teammates on strategic projects that improve and scale our implementation process and team operations.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in technology/IT consulting with a proven record of excellence in handling strategic customers on technology solutions.
- Ability to understand complex business requirements, with a talent for crafting tailored solutions.
- Ability to operate independently and thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment, whilst often balancing competing priorities.
- Quick learner with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking abilities.
- Prior experience at a growth stage Internet/software company
- Proven project management skills
