This role requires a retired Senior Officer from the Japan Self-Defense Forces with extensive experience in procurement and a strong network within the JMoD and JASDF. The position involves leveraging this expertise to support Thales's strategic objectives in Japan.
Requirements
- Retired Senior Officer from the Japan Self-Defense Forces (Colonel, Major General, or Lieutenant General equivalent), ideally with a distinguished career within the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF).
- Proven, current, and active professional relationships with high-ranking officers, decision-makers, and key stakeholders within the JMoD and JASDF.
- Deep, firsthand understanding of the JMoD procurement system, budgeting cycles, and operational requirement definition processes.
- Native fluency in Japanese with the highest level of professional protocol and etiquette required for senior government interaction.
- Business communication skills (written and spoken) in English to effectively collaborate, negotiate, and present to international Thales executives and global technical teams.
