About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Lead one or more clinical verticals to develop surgeon-led training programs for surgeons and staff.
  • Identify and vet high-volume users and opinion leaders to host courses as Teacher surgeons.
  • Provide feedback to Teacher KOLs on delivery, presentation, and lab execution.
  • Collaborate with marketing on Teacher KOL selection, society partnerships, forecasting, and course planning.
  • Develop strategies with commercial teams to drive adoption within assigned verticals.
  • Ensure effective utilization of courses to support training and sales strategies.
  • Create and revise course agendas, obtaining regulatory approval.
  • Forecast appropriate course mixes within assigned clinical verticals using data.
  • Coordinate nationwide lab events with Customer Training Support and Managers.
  • Attend surgical society events to build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, high-volume surgeons, and administrators.
  • Aid in the development and evaluation of alternate training modalities.
  • Liaise with other medical device companies to provide enhanced support for Intuitive Surgeon-Led courses.
  • Conduct technology training programs for surgical teams, residents, and fellows.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Training team to improve existing training programs.
  • Generate Salesforce.com and Tableau reports to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Provide technical trainings per quarter as needed.
  • Offer occasional support of the da Vinci® System in a hospital operating room.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience, including 3+ years in Training / Professional Education.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Clinical or Health Sciences, Healthcare Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Communications, or Education.
  • High capacity and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to operate independently.
  • Professional work ethic.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Skills

  • Medical-device experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles preferred.
