About the Role

CACI is seeking entry-level individuals to join their legal team as Document Management Technicians. This role offers the chance to utilize organizational skills while supporting attorneys and litigation professionals in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for collecting, storing, and retrieving important documents, providing critical case support to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, New York. CACI is committed to employee growth, offering tuition reimbursement for Relativity certifications, ACEDS certification, and Paralegal Certificates.

Responsibilities

  • Perform legal and administrative duties under the direction of a Paralegal Supervisor or Document Management Analyst.
  • Assist with case organization and maintenance, including filing, retrieving, and copying case file materials.
  • Create witness binders and prepare deposition and trial exhibits.
  • Enter data online into case files and other databases.
  • Proofread, edit, and correct OCR'd text files.
  • Provide printing assistance, including tabbing, numbering, labeling, and assembling documents.
  • Fill out log sheets and report on task progress.
  • Perform quality control on the work of peers.
  • Prepare documents for image scanning.
  • Perform other document collection related activities, including document screening and labeling of files to be scanned.
  • Perform simple database searches.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform detailed work consistently, accurately, and under pressure.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions.
  • Ability to understand task objectives and their context within the litigation support effort.
  • Must take the initiative to ask questions when necessary to complete tasks correctly.
  • Typing/keyboarding skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including word processing, database, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications systems.
  • DOJ MBI must be obtainable.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately and quickly.
  • Customer-focused, congenial, professional attitude for working on-site with government clients.
