About the Role
Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide analytical support for optimizing our rapidly growing logistics network. This role involves optimizing financial performance, driving improvements in customer experience, and partnering with the business team on planning, analysis, and initiative realization.
Responsibilities
- Preparing Amazon Logistics business planning and forecasting
- Ensuring excellent financial controllership over the Amazon Logistics financials, including month end close
- Maintaining data integrity and periodically auditing key transactional data
- Communicating financial performance to business partners and the corporate finance team
- Developing and implementing policies that guide business teams in improving and optimizing processes
- Partnering with the Amazon Logistics Japan team to lead cost initiatives, including identifying and analyzing new opportunities
- Partnering with Procurement Japan and Engineering teams to seek out new opportunities to reduce the costs of shipping supplies, including innovative packaging, and helping to drive the roll-out of these initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree or experience in a quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
- 4+ years of Financial analysis or controller experience
- Stakeholder management experience
- Experience calculating, owning, and working with key financial Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Experience with financial process automation and data mining (e.g. SQL, Tableau, Power BI, macros, etc.)
- English business communication level
