About the Role
Sun River Health is seeking a Full-Time Patient Representative/Front Desk Receptionist to join their team in St. Ann's - Bronx, NY. This role is responsible for providing patient-centered care, facilitating access to services, and managing the registration and appointment process in a pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily reception activities and ensure all processes for patient services are initiated.
- Communicate effectively with team members and patients regarding all aspects of service.
- Handle telephone and mail contact with patients.
- Schedule appointments, collect fees, and explain services and charges.
- Distribute patient materials, including satisfaction cards and patient rights information.
- Verify insurance and set fees based on the sliding scale.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required.
- 2-4 years of work-related experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (oral and written) is preferred.
