Responsibilities
- Executing on programs of work that will ultimately provide vital assessment, design and implementation of regulatory compliance engagements for some of Australia’s largest and most significant financial services entities.
- Assessing and benchmarking clients' compliance operating models, frameworks and capabilities against regulatory requirements.
- Advising on achieving class-leading capabilities through technology and data.
- Supporting leaders in delivering quality outcomes for clients.
- Shaping proposals and client opportunities.
- Coaching and mentoring team members.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in financial services compliance, either as a regulator, or within a financial services entity, including remediation, regulatory enforcements/responses, bank supervision, misconduct and/or control frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of how financial services entities and markets operate and are regulated domestically and globally.
- Experience conducting reviews and assessments to identify gaps and formulate appropriate and pragmatic recommendations.
- Experience developing and implementing compliance and governance operating models, risk control frameworks and policies and procedures within a complex environment.
- Sound project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in leading team members whilst ensuring consistent and high-quality output.
- Ability to apply critical thinking, solve complex problems and provide pragmatic solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and rapport with external and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Collaborative mindset to deliver positive and high-quality outcomes for clients.
- Experience and a desire to coach and mentor team members, and be a visible leader in the team.
- Frontline regulatory experience gained working at financial services regulators including APRA or ASIC or in compliance and regulatory advisory roles within financial services entities will also be highly regarded.
