About the Role

The Club Lounge Attendant is responsible for serving guests during complimentary breakfast and evening cocktail service, ensuring a clean and inviting environment. This role requires excellent communication, a friendly attitude, and the ability to be quick on your feet.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patrons and customers as they arrive.
  • Serve drinks and present food offerings.
  • Process sales through point of sale system as needed.
  • Deliver food items to lounge guests in a timely manner.
  • Ensure food presentation is up to standards.
  • Clear tables.
  • Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas and servicing equipment.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels of all condiments.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Prepare for guests by cleaning and setting tables.
  • Set up seasonal decorations, candles, or table cloths.
  • Greet patrons and escort guests to tables if needed.
  • Serve water and refill beverage glasses.
  • Place and replace silverware as needed.
  • Deliver beverages from the bartender if needed.
  • Stock serving stations with napkins, utensils, trays, condiments, and salt and pepper containers.
  • Remove guests' dirty dishes and utensils.
  • Deliver used dishes and utensils to the kitchen for cleaning.
  • Assist dishwashers to scrape, stack, or load dishes into the dishwasher.
  • Vacuum, sweep, or mop the Club Lounge.
  • Remove trash and recycling; replace trash bags.
  • Clean up guest spills as needed.
  • Direct guests to restrooms or exits as needed.
  • Clear tables as guests complete their meals and prepare tables for the next guests.
  • Follow and maintain all sanitation and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Must have schedule flexibility for both AM and PM shifts.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by guests.
  • Must be 18 years or older to serve and pour alcohol in New York.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information when serving high profile guests.
  • Must have thorough understanding of the PMS, Ving and Reservation systems.
  • Must have experience in high traffic guest service establishments.
  • Must have complete knowledge and understanding of the service industry, policies and procedures to include sanitation.
  • Must have a sense of humor.
  • Must be self-confident.
  • Ability to lead by example in maintaining a professional demeanor with challenging guests.
  • Ability to lead by example in approaching and accosting guests to create personal connections.
  • Creating a safe work place.
  • Following company policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining confidentiality.
  • Protecting company assets.
  • Upholding quality standards.
  • Ensuring uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional.
  • Being on feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time).
  • Taking a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance).
