About the Role
The Community Development Manager will drive sales, optimize care pathways for rare disease patients, and partner cross-functionally to enhance patient outcomes and achieve organizational goals. This role is responsible for growing and expanding the rare disease business in their respective region, requiring a high level of product, clinical, and customer knowledge, familiarity with protocols and procedures, and an entrepreneurial spirit. The role involves cultivating existing business, identifying growth opportunities, engaging community prescribers, and generating growth using digital leads to find undiagnosed patients or educate prescribers to refer diagnosed untreated patients. This position reports to the Commercial Strategic Account Director (CSAD) and will collaborate on customer value account plans and execution metrics. Responsibilities
- Maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders to provide disease awareness, product knowledge, and referral support.
- Proactively identify and pursue potential patient opportunities in Community & Development accounts through innovative and strategic prospecting methods.
- Responsible for 5 therapeutic areas and 7 brands.
- Build and execute against clear account plans.
- Achieve and exceed patient sales targets.
- Cultivate and maintain a diverse network of relationships with healthcare providers, demonstrating adaptability and enthusiasm for engaging with a variety of contacts and activities.
- Educate targeted healthcare providers on the benefits of the Sanofi RD portfolio of therapies and offerings.
- Build awareness of signs and symptoms of lysosomal storage disorders.
- Educate on proper diagnosis pathway, diagnostic tests, and free testing programs.
- Educate on product administration, expectations of treatment and the importance of adherence.
- Support referral network: encourage referrals to 'right' specialists to manage treatments.
- Effectively convey complex clinical and reimbursement product information to key stakeholders in a highly competitive marketplace.
- Collaborate effectively with Sanofi team members within and across functions.
- Travel as needed to assigned accounts and regions to meet with key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of sales experience, preferable in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strategic sales thinker with the ability to analyze complex market situations and develop innovative solutions to drive sales and optimize care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in rare diseases or specialized therapeutic areas.
- Digital literacy and digital-first mindset.
- Resourceful and skilled at prospecting.
- Experience with peer-to-peer HCP education programs.
