About the Role
We are a consulting team within EY Japan Consulting that specializes in helping organizations solve business challenges through Work Design consulting. Our approach focuses on improving how work is performed across people, processes, and systems. We support clients by reviewing how teams operate, documenting processes, clarifying responsibilities, improving coordination, and helping organizations build sustainable ways of working. We are seeking an experienced Investment Accounting Manager to support the September month-end closing for our global client. The closing activities will run in parallel with several change initiatives. This is a hands-on, project-based role for a professional who can manage closing progress, coordinate with the closing team, document review perspectives, and escalate issues under the supervision of the VP.
Responsibilities
- Manage the progress of closing activities.
- Organize and document closing review perspectives.
- Act as the liaison between the VP and the closing team.
- Monitor closing progress and escalate issues.
- Interview reviewers to understand the perspectives applied during completed reviews.
- Document the review perspectives.
- Confirm the sufficiency and reasonableness of completed reviews.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in investment accounting.
- Practical knowledge of securities valuation.
- The ability to manage closing progress.
- The ability to coordinate with the closing team.
- The ability to identify and escalate issues.
- The ability to organize and document review perspectives.
- The ability to assess the sufficiency and reasonableness of completed reviews.
- English reading and writing skills are required.
