About the Role

Amazon is launching a new Instock management function in Sydney, seeking a self-starter to shape buying strategy and product flow for a fast-growing business. This role owns end-to-end inventory strategy, balancing customer availability and product quality against financial guardrails. You will partner with various teams to solve supply chain problems, drive strategic initiatives, and help build internal tools for forecasting, buying, placement, and inventory health. This is an opportunity to define a new business branch, influence senior stakeholders, and develop a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end instock strategy across multiple product categories, designing buying approaches and product-flow processes that deliver high availability and quality while meeting financial targets.
Partner with Category, Vendor Management, Operations, Finance, Product, and Technology teams to identify root causes, influence priorities, and deliver cross-functional solutions that improve customer outcomes.
Collaborate with technical teams to design and build internal tools for forecasting, buying, placement, and inventory health, translating business requirements into scalable, long-term solutions.
Analyze inventory trends and demand signals to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and improve order-fulfillment efficiency across the network.
Coach and develop team members, setting clear goals and building an inclusive culture that supports continuous learning and operational excellence.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
5+ years of professional or military experience
Experience communicating results to senior leadership
Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management
Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
Experience in building and developing a high performance cross functional project team
