About the Role
Build systems and interfaces that help the world's best and brightest build in the U.S., working across internal case management tools and an applicant-facing portal, from React applications to the APIs, data models, and real-time systems behind them.
Responsibilities
- Build core product capabilities end to end, across frontend and backend.
- Evolve React architecture to support complex workflows, application state, and live data.
- Build document editing, review, and collaboration experiences, including AI-powered workflows.
- Partner with product and design engineers to deliver polished, reliable software from prototypes.
Requirements
- 4+ years shipping product across frontend and backend.
- Deep expertise in React and TypeScript.
- Experience taking products from 0 to 1 and owning architectural decisions.
- Experience building sophisticated web applications and understanding tradeoffs in state management, performance, synchronization, and concurrent changes.
- Comfortable building backend services and reasoning about client/server responsibilities.
- Ability to independently research, prototype, and drive solutions for complex problems in unfamiliar systems.
- Experience with editors, collaborative applications, CRDTs, SSE or WebSockets, and AI-powered products is relevant.
